The last time Utah came to town, I made a big fuss about how I thought the Jazz would really give Portland a game. But it didn’t happen.
Tonight, even though this is the second of a back-to-back for Utah, I expect the Jazz to throw a real tough effort at the Blazers. I’m sure Jerry Sloan’s troops are tired of hearing how bad they are on the road and this is the first game of a seriously difficult road swing. I would think they’d want to establish something tonight.
So, one more time, let me say I think we’re in for a very entertaining game.

Hey Dwight, I think the Blazers will boat race the Jazz again. Utah is just a different team when they are on the road. The Jazz have a lot at stake tonight, but so does Portland. To me, it’s a chance for the Blazers to make a statement against a division rival and the Blazers seem to save their best games for such an occasion. Utah is in trouble. The Blazers’ size is going to cause a problem for the Jazz. The guy that worries me is Okur. He can pull Joel and G.O. away from the basket with his jumpshot and if you put a smaller guy on him he’s not afraid to take him down low. That opens lanes for Deron Williams. Maybe Lamarcus Aldridge gets the assignment on Okur.
Let’s hope that they are tuckered from last night and that “D. Will” has an off night. Here’s hoping that GO is up for a physical game. Joel will be fantastic and I hope that the Blazers drive the lane and hit all of their threes. Thanks for your blog. Go Blazers!
Yes Jeff, LaMarcus is a great match-up for Okur….Okur is coordinated, but too slow to work Aldridge over. Big game tonight…..Go Blazers!
Dwight, everyone: does Utah’s rep for physical play mean that the zebras are less likely to call BS ticky-tack fouls on Oden?
Guys check out Greg’s ridiculous half-court shot.

Heh! Thanks Dwight! You’ve got Utah’s number all right
. Well, I for one found it entertaining anyway.
