Why does the game keep pushing CIP down our throats in the afternoon? Put “The Godfather” on with John Strong, Kenny Vance, Antonio Harvey or anyone else but the high school sounding, Jim Rome wannabe!!!!!!

Props to you Dwight for never sinking to his level. I’m just sorry that I can’t listen to an entire show when you’re on with Doing.

  2. Cam'ron says:

Hey, I’m kinda with you on the CIP thing William, but let’s just be happy we have the Godfather, and that Canzano is gone. Good lord, that guy makes my blood boil. On one show this week he spent a good portion of the show talking about the Chappelle Show in Pioneer Square. This is not sports news, and it was over covered by the media already. To top it off, he played a five minute clip of a Chappelle standup show. Unreal.

My ideal show on 95.5: The Godfather, Kenny Vance, Wheels, and Jay Allen.

I’m really not a fan of CIP either, he’s too abrasive for my ears. I think he just tries too hard. I’d like to see Dwight take over Strong at Night. That’s usually when I’m in the car, and Strong is just too hit or miss for the whole 2 hours or so. I do like him, but more in a supporting role.

I would love to listen to a show with Dwight and Kenny Vance, or Dwight and John Strong. I’m not a big fan of a John strong, but he does alot better job than CIP. Listening to CIP, is like listening to a very disturbing mix of Jim Pasero, Tony Luftman, Richard Simmons, and Montell Williams. I mean how many times can I hear guy comment on junk huggers, plum smugglers, muffin tops, or a rusty trombone. Come on

  5. Matty says:

I told Dwight I would quit bashing CIP. I quit listening to the MSP about 3 months ago.

It has occured to me, that I am probably not their demographic antway. Funny, because the advertisements are aimed at me.

Hey, if 95.5 doesn’t want a mid-level professional, sports crazed, and highly educated guy listening in the mornings, so be it.

  6. Emmanuel says:

I didn’t come to ur page so bag on CIP, but I am refreshed to read that I am not the only person that thinks he is over the top. Quite frankly whoever thought to put him on with you needs to think twice. You are a highly respected journalist and Portland personality. Chad is obnoxious, immature, and abrasively unfunny… desrespectful at times. About a month ago you and him had a disagreement on air about something and he said, “Godfather, shut up bro…” Now I’m sure you guys have some kind of friendship, but that was so disrespectful. With all due respect to you, I would never tell someone my father’s age to, “shut up bro.”

What Willam Murphy said was right, Chad is a Jim Rome wannabe. He has no identity outside of that, and simply being obnoxious. You deserve to be paired with someone more classy than Chad.

Also, I love your interviews. You always have great questions and the people you talk to have respect for you. It’s a beautiful thing…

    Grace n Peace,

    Emmanuel Williams

GodFather. You belong in that 3-6 spot!

Listening to Canzano is akin sitting in on an uninteresting ‘I can make you rich’ seminar.

Driving home from a long day’s work should be rewarded with your laid back, matter of fact approach and not the same stiffness we just left at work.
