Those Duck baseball uniforms…

I had no idea a simple post about Oregon’s baseball uniforms would touch off such a stream of vitriol in the comment section. But I’d forgotten the Ducks are just a wee bit sensitive about the whole uniform thing.

What really set me off about the baseball unis is the fact that the pants have a letter on them. An “O” up on the left side where a pocket would be in a pair of slacks.

Come on, folks. There should NEVER be a letter or a number on uniform pants in any sport. Any sport. Uh, well, except perhaps the National Women’s Shirts and Skins Basketball Association. The NWSSBA. You need them there.

So I went to take a look since I’ve not seen them. And they have SIX official uniforms? SIX??? Is there any reason that baseball players (or any sports team, for that matter) needs six different uniforms?

Let’s see…football – SOLD OUT, basketball – SOLD OUT, and now baseball – SOLD OUT.

    Someone must like the program.

We all can’t work at McDonalds, so some of us enjoy having a variety in what we wear.
