This Bud’s for you… I’m sick of him
Baseball Comissioner Bud Selig is one of those buffoons who, even on the rare occasion when he gets something right, he gets it wrong.
ESPN revealed that Selig had met with umpires and team officials prior to the game and told them specifically that he wouldn’t let that game last night end before nine innings — that it would be a suspended game – and would use his powers as czar of baseball to make sure a World Series didn’t end prematurely. Everyone agrees that was the right thing to do.
But Selig, being the goof that he is, messed it up. He should have immediately told the media — and therefore the public — the whole story BEFORE the game. That way everyone wouldn’t have been worried about the possibility of one team winning in six or seven innings, rather than nine. Why keep it a secret? It’s just one more case of baseball looking stupid in front of the whole world.

Not here to defend Selig at all, but did he really have a choice??
What is this baseball of which you speak?
