There’s no such thing as a “bad” win in the NBA

Don’t complain about that one last night. It’s a bottom-line league… nobody asks you if it was ugly, boring, lucky or anything else. You take your wins where you find them and run off the floor. Then move on to the next game. There are enough losses to feel bad about without fretting over the wins.

The Blazers played pretty awful against the Kings Monday night, but give Sacramento credit for working very hard on defense and making a lot of shots, at least until the fourth quarter. Brandon Roy was pretty much it for Portland down the stretch. It’s one of the few times I thought, man if Brandon can’t score, they better get it to Joel Przybilla.

When you have just a one-point lead, are out of timeouts and the other team has the ball at the end of an NBA game, you’re fortunate to come out a winner. More often than not, that other team is going to score and you’re not going to be able to get the ball back up the floor in time to do anything about it.

BRoy was just unbelievable last night. I really think we’re seeing an MVP in development.

Two weeks from now no one will remember how you won, just THAT you won. A win is a win is a win.
