At the 35 game point, KP should have enough of a “read” on his players, like who should go and who should stay. Some choices are obvious (Frye/Diogu = go) other will be more difficult (Outlaw/Sergio?)

The absense of Webster makes the decision harder, since the “logjam” at small forward has only been anticipated so far, not realized.

One thing is for certain, David Lee is not a small forward. He plays the same position as LaMarcus Aldridge. Their games would compliment each other very well, but there are not enough minutes to go around for the two of them (sound familiar?) and neither one is really a backup center, either.

The roster does need a better backup power forward, but not a young player who’s worthy of big minutes, like Lee. A veteran player would be better, someone with playoff experience and a “take no prisoners” attitude would be even better. I’ve suggested Chris Wilcox as a short term solution (he’s a UFA in June) but there may be a better option out there, on a team that is going nowhere.

You see Bob, I take the common sense approach of taking all factors into an equation and not your chicken little the sky is falling. I have even said Joel is a great player. Bob, how come you don’t hammer on Brandon, he has missed a lot of games in his career, he is hurt a lot, how come you don’t judge him by the same standard as Oden? Why are you not clamoring for Rudy to start? Brandon went number 7 in the draft I believe, projected even higher at one time. Why are you unable to at least say I will give Oden a year? Why will you not acknowledge points I and others have made about his improvement and his total for double doubles this year. He has more than LA.
Bob I guess while your Laker Troll Flames where humorous for awhile, I find them almost sad now. I am more than willing to discuss ideas but really I guess when you don’t even acknowledge small truths it is hard to take you serious, you don’t have to agree but Bob there is this thing called Common Ground that you can’t seem to find.
It is your opinion, it is a free country…..well for now anyway. Bob I wish you the best as well as Robo Bob (whom I think had mad his/her point and can stop now).
