The Blazers and the Atlanta Hawks
Got totally blacked out on this one. No Internet feeds available, that I could find. Whoever is trying to stamp out this piracy stuff was on the job today. You’d think that a guy who stars (yeah, right) on his own Comcast Sportsnet show could get them to run a cable out to his house, wouldn’t you?
Nope, been here 13 years now and still no cable.
So I can’t really tell you much, other than — were you truly surprised by the outcome? Until the Trail Blazers start playing consistent defense, this stuff will keep happening. Allowing plus-50 percent shooting just isn’t going to get it done.

Ugg,that was nasty..
I had to turn it off in the start of the 4th.
I didn’t get any feeling at all they would make
a comeback.
They didn’t look anything like a playoff team.
You didn’t miss much, Dwight. Maybe the guys need some of those “five hour energy pills” that they keep advertising. Perhaps they tanked due to the early game but I’d love to see more effort against Memphis. Go Blazers!
Defensively, the same issues exist
Offensively, teams are just packing the middle and the blazers really are just standing around
No post offense is a killer, and it will be even more glaring come playoff time…
Outside of the laker game, the blazers have not played well for awhile now
Ditto to all of the above.
I’m beginning to believe that the Blazers need to be shaken up. Pritchard should trade LeMarcus and Travis while those guys still have some market value. Neither one plays much defense, and neither bothers to get anywhere near the basket before shooting. They’re lazy and grossly overrated.
If you can’t find a pirate feed, go take a look at the gameday thread on blazersedge.com. One almost always pops up there.
I live in NYC now, so I watch all the games on the NBA League Pass. I usually get the opposing teams broadcasters, which I actually find more intersting than Mike & Mike’s cheerleading. The suprising thing, is that the East Coast announcers have never heard of the Blazers. They talked about Brandon Roy like he wasn’t the ROY or a two-time all star. Like the Blazers just pick him up off the wire. The called LA the “best power foward you have never heard of.” They called many of the plays by position, since they had trouble with the names of the Blazer players. I thought the whole “We don’t get any respect” argument was a bit overblown, util I moved here and started watching the games from the opposing teams view.
Jeremy: I don’t think it’s a lack of respect. The folks involved with the Hawks don’t seem to have much on the ball (that goes triple for their stats crews, who seem to flub every third game). The ATL is, and always will be, the worst sports town in the US, and it shows.
