Kevin Martin made some serious coin off that dunk
It seems Kevin Martin had a little side bet going in that exhibition game Monday night against the Trail Blazers:
Dunking for dollars
Kevin Martin knew he netted more than a sweet YouTube clip Monday when he crossed over Rudy Fernandez to dunk on Greg Oden and LaMarcus Aldridge in the Kings’ 112-98 loss to Portland.
Martin also won a $1,000 bet with teammate Mikki Moore on who would be the first to dunk on Oden.
“I had to go get my money,” Martin said.
Asked if he knew Oden and Aldridge would be there when he crossed over Fernandez, Martin laughed.
“Them guys have 7-(foot)-5 wingspans, so even if you don’t think they are going to be there, they are going to be there,” Martin said. “I’m glad they were there. I got a little richer today.”

Sweet cross over dribble, sweet drive and an awesome dunk, but I’m not sure it was really “on” Oden, as he came into the picture much after the dunk (and behind LMA). Nothing like Rudy putting it directly in Dwights face in the Gold metal game.
I thought this was very interesting. I really like Kevin Martin, and am so Jealous of you Blazers and upset that we Jazz have to deal with you for a long time. It was a spectacular dunk, and now that I know it was about money it was even more cool than I thought before.

Nice crossover that faked Rudy Rudy Rudy out of his zapatos, but K Mart SPLIT Oden and LMA, he clearly didn’t dunk OVER either one of them. How he managed to collect a big bet on that play is a wonder…
