I have never thought much of Sanchez as he folds like an envelope when the defense starts to put pressure on him. Just wait. He starts to get gun shy. Kellen will get his shot & needs to really shine when that chance comes.

I agree with this article, though I think Dennis Dixon and Kellen are both in bad situations to varying degrees. Would love to see Kellen in a 49ers uniform and Dennis anywhere his services could be used effectively. Both of these guys are potential starters in my opinion, though I think Dennis is more vulnerable in the pro style offense than he would’ve been in the college game. John Gruden for hire?

Dear Kellen, please get yourself to San Francisco as soon as possible, the 49ers need a legit NFL QB. Shaun Hill is a good leader but can’t throw further than 20 yards.

The Niners need the Eastern Oregon gunslinger.

Clemens is a very good quarterback and could be a starter in several places around the league. He’ll get his opportunity. Look at Hasselbeck, he sat behind Favre for years before getting his shot and turned into a solid starter. Clemens has a similar style to Hasselbeck, except he’s got better wheels. I agree that it’ll be good not to have that pressure. Take time and develop before you get thrown to the wolves.

He still gets paid his same contract right? Now he won’t have to have his legs amputated at 50 like some of the other players.

I don’t think Mark Sanchez is that great of a quarterback and he won’t be the savior for the NY Jets either. Sanchez played for a great USC team which made him shine, but playing for the Jets he won’t look so hot unless they are playing the Detroit Lions or a team worst than the Jets.

The problem is that Clemens will always be viewed as a backup now. It’s gonna be awfully hard for him to claw his way back up and regain that respectability.
