I'll go with cheap shot because the Laker player swung his arm so far out to the right before delivering the blow. Definite intent to hit Rudy in a way not associated with blocking the ball. And I have seen this same Laker show a flash of temper before earlier this year.
Since you had Jerome Kersey on do you remember the worst fall he ever took? He got undercut and came straight down on the top of his head. His spine compressed and he did a pogo stick bounce - one of the scariest falls I've ever seen in basketball. Fortunately, Jerome was not really hurt and played more in that game. I hope Rudy is okay as well. That was truly sickening and scary.

Yes !!!!
Now that was a well played game !

But I don't approve of letting the Lakers score that many points
in the closing minutes without much effort to stop them.
Since when do you give away 10 points in the closing minutes ??

Blazers knew it was over but it saved some face for the Lakers
and on the blogs it appears like they made some kind of a comeback
on the Blazers..In reality no one was stopping them in closing
minutes. Boy,if I were a coach I would get on them for that.

And on LakersGround :

If the Lakers somehow won this, any Laker fans better not hang around in the car park, those inbred Oregon hicks would be MAD AS A MOTHER

and another poster said this :
'Kinda wished that was Brandon Roy"

that was after the injury on Rudy..

I might add,not one poster came back with disdain against
these posts.

Well, that game had some "energy!"

By the way- Jim Pasero on Talkin' Ball is my hero, it WAS a cheap shot against Rudy! Thanks for telling it like it is Jim!

If the Blazers don't play with a lot of energy and intensity tonight, then I'm going to finally be concerned, too much youth, lack of veterans, or whatever other reasoning be damned.

The Blazers will make a game of it tonite. They seem to play up or down to their competition lately, and there's no better time to break out of their shell than in a home game against the Lakers. Look for Roy to have a stellar game as he seems to ignite when there's another superstar on the floor.
