Is the UFC headed to Portland?

There are rampant rumors all over the Internet that the UFC is finally coming to the Rose Garden for a pay-per-view event in November. It’s a shame that Randy Couture, now in a contract dispute with UFC and not fighting, has never had a big fight in Portland. He would have sold the joint out.

It could be a bittersweet visit to Portland, by the way, because apparently Dana White is having trouble putting together a legit main event for that show.

UPDATE: Because of Kenny Florian, I’m now hearing this fight might be headed to Boston. And I’m not sure a Stevenson-Florian fight would be a great draw here.

I thought this was a done deal already! With all the guys training out of Portland now I think they wouldn’t have too much of a problem finding fights for that card. I’d love to see UFC make Portland a regular stop. I think it’s one more thing the city can brag about.

This event is probably happening…Boston cant hold an event until 2009 due to legislation. Look for Brock-Check Kongo to headline

I think that’d be a great time for Rampage vs. Wanderlei if Rampage has his head back in the game for it. If not, Wanderlei vs. Bonner or something like that….
