I’m getting a bit of second-guessing lately about my sources and some things I’ve said that are going on. And certainly I have never claimed to get them all correct.
But I had this one right last week. After all these years in the business, I don’t go out on too many limbs without knowing how strong the tree is.
Doubt this blog at your own risk.

Dwight – Not quite sure why someone would question your sources, especially if they knew anything about your career.
I appreciate all the info (opinion and/or reporting) and it’s great that you do this for free.
Thank you — you sincerely make my day.
Dwight you and your sources were correct, PSU selected Nigel Burton. I hope they got it right or PSU football will end up in the round file soon afterwards.
Oh you are just amazing Dwight, just ask yourself.
And this is why Portland State is Portland State.
Only a group of morons would hire Burton instead of Speckman. Had they hired Speckman I would have bought PSU season tickets, that’s how innovative Speck is, that’s how much I respect him as a classy person.
Good luck PSU, but you won’t get a nickel from me. I’ll just keep making that 1hr drive to see the Bearcats play 2-4 times per year.
Dwight, I never doubt your sources ,Ijust think Burton is not the Guy for PSU ,this is just my opinion. Iwas a Al borges guy
Why didn’t you post how wrong you were concerning your sources stating Bayless has asked to be traded?
Seems you were way off on that one as Pritchard came on the Canzano show today to refute your claim.
In fact, Pritchard seemed quite high on keeping Bayless. Pritchard went on to say how impressed he has been by Bayless and his professionalism, and how he would like to utilize him more in the offense
guess you need to re-check that limb
Panama, Pritchard has everything to gain by denying a Bayless trade-demand rumor; same with publicly building him up as having more potential than he does. Indeed, it’s the only logical tactic for him to employ.
I’m not saying Dwight’s sources are accurate, but Pritchard’s statements certainly don’t constitute “proof” that they’re not.
