Greg Oden and Kevin Love rebound a lot better than you think they do

Pretty incredible stuff about rebounding from Henry Abbott. I think effort is Kevin’s secret — the kid works his tail off every night. With Oden, it’s that the guy just takes up so much real estate in the basket area. When he spreads out, man, there isn’t a lot of room for anyone else.

  1. John Thomas says:

Is Abbott the best professional basketball columnist out there, or what?

  2. Tom says:

If the guards would feed Oden the ball, maybe Abbot will be writing about the offensive force that Oden is. But alas, THAT probably won’t happen. They would rather pass it to Travis ‘Blackhole’ Outlaw.

Too bad Oden is such a big disappointment like the paper says. All those crappy double doubles, and now this additional rebounding stat. What a bummer of a rookie season…
