Ernie Kent announcement due today

At least that’s what’s being reported by numerous sources, many of whom are saying he’s going to be allowed to stay but will have to alter his coaching staff.

Is that the perfect April Fool’s Day joke or what?

And I promise, no jokes about Duck on Duck crime, or players who just can’t shoot. But shouldn’t Oregon players be shooting Beavers and not Ducks? Uh, well, maybe not.

Looks like your “sources” claiming Ernie would not be back were wrong.

Yup Quacky… you win some and you lose some… i got the most important one correct — Paul Westhead… because pretty soon more people are going to care about the women’s team than the men’s team. What a cruel April Fool’s joke…

adding an assistant huh? putting fresh paint on a broken down house doesn’t always make it any better to live in.

so here we go again.. keep ernie for another year, then he’ll do something to get by and justify keeping him.. but then the next year he’ll slide, then they’ll say “lets give him one more year” and he’ll come back and do better again and then the next year he’ll slide… this seems like a pattern… when is enough enough?

every time there seems to be justification for him to leave or get fired he gets ’1 more chance’ and then saves himself for another year or two.. this is really frustrating… if only he’d do us all a favor and find another job somewhere else, make it easy on the school.

he’s not taking us any farther than he already has and while he’s elevated the program for sure, it seems hard to believe that he can take us beyond what he has already done. apparently oregon is okay with being a middle-to-upper tier pac 10 basketball program, and that’s sad when they could be so much more with a better coach.

    I’m disgusted with Kent’s retention!

I imagine with Few getting the Zona job maybe there were no other candidates either interested or that the UO could afford.

    Very sad.

New asst. Dunlap seems like a quality coach however.
