I never really had a problem with Miles when he was here in Portland. He had his character flaws and he sometimes looked disinterested in the game, but never did enough to earn the rep he got while he was here. Don’t get me wrong, I much prefer him to be some place else and I think that people deserve second chances. To some, the salary cap issue is a big deal. However I think time and development will work in strengthing the team as much as next years free agency. Not to mention that even if Miles does end up back on the books, there is still considerable cap room to deal with. The Blazers are young, talented and poised to have a breakout year. If Miles is able to do the same thing in Boston, than so be it. I, for one, am not going to wish failure on another human being for the sake of something as trivial as a basketball game. I hope that those of you who do would follow suit.
